Blindspot is an interactive film shot in the area of Leather Lane market
in Clerkenwell, London. The viewer is taken to navigate through a network
of street junctions at night following a woman's legs. She is running on
her high-heels through the empty streets - seeking the pulse of the night.
Surveillance cameras are operating in every corner. The static mechanical
eye is watching her movements. She is caught on the chilling silence of
low-res black and white.
This work intends to question whether the obsession for surveillance in
modern times is protecting or threatening us. It is up to the viewer to
reach his or her own conclusions.
